day #3 of vacation was spent at a cincinnati reds game! over the past 13 years if we have gone to a reds game it was because we were given free tickets. they have always been decent seats but i wanted to do something a little special for the boys while we were on vacation. we splurged on great seats and we were off for the game!
once we arrived at the ball park, we realized we were pretty early and thought we'd take a walk down toward the river. as we got closer we could hear very loud music. once we saw where the music was coming from i hurried to get the picture.
so pretty! i would have loved to have been on that boat...even though i'm sorta terrified at the thought of being on water. once it passed the boys began to toss their ball around and i wandered through the park.
before too long both boys let us know they had to go to the bathroom (i felt like we were doing nothing on this vacation but stopping to go to or look for a bathroom!) so we started heading back toward the ball park and before we knew it the gates were opened. we planned to get there early enough so the boys could get some autographs. and... they waited, and waited, and waited...
unfortunately the reds didn't show to sign anything. but the padres were awesome and had plenty of time to sign their baseballs. not cool reds. finally.. it was time to play ball!!

despite sitting behind a family of 3 that were chair hopping to get better seats and decided a 94° day was an excellent time to break out some nasty smelling lunch meat - we had a great time!
a reds win is always a bonus.
