carve 'em up.

this sucks.  this should be my happiest time of the year, yet i'm just not feeling it. 

i've done the normal Horror movie marathons.  

i've done the whole changing my facebook picture daily to give people their daily dose of scare. 

i've attempted the super annoying birthday countdown.

we've done the pumpkin patch thing.

this weekend we carved our pumpkins.  (excuse crappy cell photos)

of course... the boys, being the boys that they are, have to add their own fun into the mix.

the Demon was mid head bang and the Beast was getting some ideas for next years costume.

the dog was just as nosy as ever...

... and was hoovering the ground for any pumpkin/seeds that found their way to the floor.

i spent my evening taking pictures and picking through the guts to gather the seeds.

they were very yummy!

during our fun filled weekend i forced the boys into goodwill.  i always head straight back to the housewares area and hope to quickly browse the shelves.  i found some very cute place mats!

i also stumbled upon this super cute set of salt and pepper shakers...

i carried them around the entire time we were browsing.  the shark is courtesy of the Beast.  i'm not sure why, but he really wanted this shark!  we both put them back on the shelves and walked out sulking that maybe we should've bought them.

i hope your tuesday is going well.  despite wading through this funk - i am looking forward to showing off the boys in their costumes after Halloween.  it's going to be great!

♦ apparently the boys are slowly sneaking out owls from my grannie's house and adding them to my collection.

♦ i found & purchased this cute halloween kitty from the thrift store.

♦ we had another dr's appt at the hospital.  he's not totally happy with the demon's progress but we're in a "wait and see" holding pattern.

♦ mao is continuing to play and his eating has increased!  

♦  i found this adorable little felt box at the dollar bin at target..but showed some restraint and left without it.

back to the real world.

tomorrow i am back at work which means today is like every other sunday of the year.  filled with laundry, watching mindless television and cleaning house.  yikes.  my house is a MESS.  you would think since we didn't spend too much time at home this past week there wouldn't too much to clean up, but you'd be wrong.  very wrong.

i have tons of pictures i have to edit and get ready for a week of vacation blogs but i'm totally not motivated to start.

we celebrated my brother's birthday and we made it through my momma's first birthday since her passing.  

i can't believe it's already august.  2 full weeks left of summer break and i really hope that it's not spent sitting on our butts doing nothing.  i am dreading the start of school but excited about the start of football season!  

yesterday the demon and i went to the grand antique mall.  i can't even express the amount of amazing things this place has!  i've never been huge on antiques and i've even teased my mom about the museum that has been our house over the years.. but geesh - i wish i had loads of money and could've gone crazy in this place.  i've driven by this gem for the last 16 years and have never once ventured inside.  it's definitely a place i will be visiting frequently from here on out and i even scored a couple of great old kodak cameras!

well... i've wasted as much time as i should today.  i will do my best to get a blog up tomorrow - i just need to find  that motivation.
