it's been awhile since i've been wanting to open good ole blogger and write type. as i'm sitting watching The Voice i thought.. what the hey! let's touch base, shall we? here are a few randoms of my last 12 days..and a few random photos (both instagram and camera shots).
the demon thoroughly enjoyed camping and i enjoyed him coming home!
i broke out my phone and camera a little bit over these few days. not as much as i have wanted to, but i'm getting there.
the demon had his confirmation and he was looking smooooooth! i love
how excited my brother is when his family is together and they're dressed
up. he's always the first to say "let's get a family shot!".
and look at that! i'm in front of the camera with the demon. i've been working on the whole "self confidence" thing and i received great feedback after posting this picture on my facebook page. it doesn't hurt that i have amazingly supportive friends! love them.
here is the confirmandi and his sponsor. both of them were super stoked to finally be able to wear their new suits. i was definitely dealing with a couple of supreme male divas that evening.
the St. Peter in Chains cathedral is so beautiful and no picture that i could ever take could do it proper justice. i love the fact that both the demon and i had our confirmations in the same church. it was a special night.
here we are waiting in line to have pictures taken with Bishop Binzer. as i was scrolling through picture from that night as soon as i landed on the picture below i was shocked. shocked at how much i look like my momma! over the years so many people have told me that and i never saw it until that moment.
here he is! this is also such a special picture to be able to have to remember the evening.
during the time i've spent away from the blog grannie also spent time in the hospital. ugh! she's home now and it's slowed her down a bit, so i guess we can say that this hospital stay was a blessing in disguise. she's finally using a walker and realizing a little bit more that she's turning 90 this year, not 60! she's no spring chicken.
mother's day was less than great but i got through it. another year down... the day is definitely a lot less climatic when you don't have a mother to "celebrate". i decided to go through more family pictures and i found a couple that i shared on facebook but also wanted to save here...
don't let the black and white picture fool you! i'm not that old. this was a picture turned postcard and for some reason it was black and white...but i love it. i think i love it even more because its black and white.
dang! i was a cute kid. haaaa. she sure was a beauty!
seriously... do you see that lampshade behind us? that lamp is still in my grannie's house. in.that.same.spot! |
i guess that's it for now. the demon has little less than 3 weeks left of school and i pray that we get through them and remain friends. it's getting tough!
enjoy your week, i do hope to check in more often since i did suck it up and purchased a new laptop. i'm still getting used to the whole windows 8 thing.. and if there was one word i could use to describe windows 8 - it would be crap!
