This is a wooden bowl set that I uncovered in the kitchen cabinets.
(note: I found a wooden spoon during the kitchen drawer purge and I thought... why the hell would I need a wooden spoon!?... and I threw it away. I can only assume it was supposed to be paired with the wooden fork/tong type thing I found in the bowls)
On the bottom of the large bowl there was this label...
There was also a little set of cloth napkins with matching labels as the label on the large bowl.
This piece of cardboard was laying inside the large bowl.
The engraving on the smaller bowls read: Blair Hawaii Koa Wood.
The price sticker is still on the bottom! It looks like my Momma paid $9.95 per bowl.
I'm not sure if all of these are from the same set? I am thinking they are separate as the larger bowl does not have any engraving on the bottom (and it has a Made in Philippines label). I'm not sure if the fork is made of the same wood? I'm also not sure if Blair Hawaii Koa Wood is the same as Monkey Pod Acacia Wood.
I've received some great information after each one of my "WTF is this?!" posts and I hope someone reading can give me some tips! I have no intention of selling these so the value is really of no importance, but, I'm sure whatever they are worth is just a little less without the freakin' spoon that I tossed! :)
