if it seems as if it's been over a week since i last blogged, it's because it has. whoops! have you missed me? just humor me and say yes. thanks!
last thursday, while at work, i started to feel iffy. i couldn't tell if the feeling in my stomach was normal pain ( i've had stomach issues for years ) or the nasty virus that i keep hearing/reading about. either way, i had to get the heck out of work pronto. thankfully, it was normal stomach issues and i was feeling better later on friday.
my basement is finished! well, finished being painted... i still have my own work to do down there and hope to tackle that situation soon. i'm anxious to share after pictures.
on monday the demon had his dental surgery. he's been through a multiple surgeries but this one had him worried! luckily for him, a premed dose of xanax cured that worry. however, it didn't cure the misery that followed.
you know that i had to grab some out of it - loopy - pictures! they were much too embarrassing for him to post publicly but don't think for one second that i don't have them safely tucked away for a rainy day. he's never had any reason to have his mouth numbed so this was a whole new experience for him.
he hadn't eaten in over 15 hours and at this point was feeling a little hungry. he attempted cool whip and decided sleep sounded like a better idea.
i agreed. we slept a lot on monday and tuesday!
it was about tuesday evening when i finally was able to get a small smile out of him for the camera (er, my phone).
it's very painful for him to smile so this is what a very forced/fake smile looks like on the demon.
he returned to school wednesday. he was very sore due to "having" to talk so much and other people "making" him laugh! he's still on a very liquid/soft diet.
here's the money shot!
he had 7-9 baby teeth removed (in order to begin ortho soon) and the impacted canine exposed so that it can be crowned, bracketed and eventually moved into the right spot. it's that area that is causing the pain. we return to the surgeon in a couple weeks so he can place the crown and then about a month after that visit we see the orthodontist to begin his orthodontic treatment plan.
believe it or not he is excited about that!
okay.. i've blabbered on and grossed everyone out enough for today. i really hope to check in more often!
in case you're wondering or if you have noticed, i have been slacking just a bit on my project 365. i am taking pictures daily, but i sometimes (read: often) forget to post daily. i have been playing catch up quite a few times.
enjoy your thursday!
